Atento a las preguntas de Eduardo les paso los datos de los apoyos de goma ò pads , para separar la carroceria del chasis.
Wes Knettle: "The parts book shows 8 mount pads for the body. One at each side of the tranny crossmember, one at each side of the frame just forward of the rear spring forward perches, one at each side of the frame just rear of the rear springs forward perches, and one at each side of the frame at the forward ends of the draw bar diagonal braces. It shows 12 bolts with rubber liners between the hat sections and the frame, and mentions an inner and outer pair at the next-to-last rear crossmember. It lists the body holddown pairs as:
#1 2 each 3/8x24x1" bolts and either 1/8 or 3/16" rubber liners
#2 2 ea 3/8x24x1" bolts and 1/8" liners
#3 left 1 ea 3/8x24x1" bolt; right 1 ea 3/8x24x2" bolt & nut; 2 ea 1/4" liners
#4 2 ea 3/8x24x1" bolts & nuts and 2ea 1/8" liners
#5 2 ea 5/16x18x1-1/2" bolts & nuts and 2 ea 1/8" liners
#6 Inner 2 ea 5/16x18x7/8" bolts & nuts and 2 ea 1/8" liners
#6 Outer 2 ea 5/16x18x7/8" bolts & nuts and 2 ea 1/8" liners.
"I looked at my body to help correlate the # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 inner and 6 outer positions:
#1 (2 ea) corresponds to the bottom of the toeboard gussets
#2 (2 ea) corresponds to the holes in the footwells just a couple of inches aft of the dash or about inline with the front of the doorway opening
#3 (2 ea) corresponds to the frame pads forward of the rear spring forward perches which is about where the drop occurs from the rear bed to the seat area
#4 (2 ea)corresponds to the two frame pads just a few inches aft of the rear springs forward perches which will be in the rear bed
#5 (2 ea) corresponds to the forward ends of the rear pintle support diagonal braces which will be in the rear bed
# 6 inner (2 ea) and Outer (2 ea) will be on the rear crossmember which is where the drawbar, pintle or bumperettes bolt on."
Originalmente, se observa que el pad , es una goma con malla de tela en el medio. No es dificil reproducir estos pads.
