The MB / GPW show to have used three fuel pumps. They were numbers 1537766 ( A-1220, GPW 9350 ), 1538312 ( A-8323, GPW 9350-B ), 1538886 according to the G503 ORD 9 dated Oct. 1949.
Pump # 1537766 used one diaphragm spring and #s 1538312 / 1538886 used another spring. Somewhere I believe I read that the diaphragm spring strength was increased to reduce vapor lock.

I think your eye slipped down the page on the middle fuel pump (#2 here) and you posted part numbers for the rubber pull rod sea instead. I noticed only because a six digit "A" part number made no sense. Hope you don't mind the correction.
