Sgt. Hancock escribió:Great shots, I especially tike the photo at the end with the Homelite Generator on the ground with the power extension cord going into the B-17.

zepher11 escribió:Totally awesome early air war photos of the B17f models. I really like that there is the photo of the one fella plugging in his electric underwear. Not your typical photo op. And the color photos really make it a lot more realistic to get a feel of what it would have been like versus all the B&W photos I saw growing up. Thanks for posting!

cco23i escribió:GREAT SHOTS! I too love seeing the "putt putt" generator, all we need is a power cord for ours and we're set! I like the one of the aircrew "working and cleaning" the plane, yup, a set up photo but looks good!

Ben Dover escribió:That little Generator (APU) is what put Homelite on the map, they made well over 100,000 of the different versions of tht two-cycle powerplant used as auxilary power in Aircraft, Tanks, and power for radio sets, signal lamps, etc.
They are very noisy when at operating RPM (3600) and can be heard for a long distance.
